There are actually a few time skips! The one that really stands out is the seven years after Goku defeats Cell, bringing us to Gohan's high school days and the start of the Majin Buu saga.
Right after Goku beats King Piccolo, there's a three-year skip. Another major one is the seven-year leap after the Cell Games.
Honestly, time skips happen a lot! The two big ones are after the King Piccolo saga and the Cell Games. Just roll with it!
