When you're playing the Pokemon TCG, pulling out a shiny Pokemon card is like hitting a mini jackpot! These cards are a variant of the regular ones but with much cooler, reflective, or holographic artwork. Not only do they look awesome, but they’re also more valuable and collectible due to their rarity. However, in terms of gameplay, they function just like their regular counterparts, so having a shiny doesn't give you a gameplay advantage, but it sure does add style to your deck!

Shiny Pokemon cards are just regular cards in a snazzy outfit. They don’t have special powers or anything. But they sure do make your deck look fancy!

Honestly, shiny cards are overrated. They’re just for show and don't affect gameplay. But hey, if flexing is your thing, go for it.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
