Use Great Balls when you encounter higher CP (Combat Power) Pokémon or rare ones that are difficult to catch with regular Poké Balls!

From my experience, Great Balls are best for special events when you're trying to catch as many rare Pokémon as possible. Gotta catch 'em all!
