Redline Hot Wheels, recognized by their distinct red-striped tires, were made from 1968 to 1977. They were the original lineup and quickly became a hot commodity among collectors for their detailed designs and innovative features.

Just to set the record straight, redlines were the OG Hot Wheels, rolling out of production from '68 to '77. After that, the designs changed, but nothing beats the classics. If you've got one, you're holding onto a piece of toy car history.

1977 marked the end of the redline era for Hot Wheels. So if it's got red stripes on the tires, it's from '68 to '77, no doubt.
