Steam sales roll in like the seasons, but the exact dates can be as elusive as finding a legendary item in a loot box! Generally, expect big sales during Summer (end of June to early July), Winter (just before Christmas to early January), and smaller ones scattered throughout the year for Halloween, Autumn, and Spring. Valve likes to keep us guessing, so keep an eye on Steam's news or community forums for those surprise announcements!

Honestly, it's Valve's best kept secret. They rarely spill the beans until a few days prior. So, pro tip: Add games to your wishlist and Steam will notify you when they go on sale.

No one knows exactly until Valve announces it, but if I had to bet, I'd say keep your wallet ready for the big Summer and Winter sales. Those are the big ones!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
