Starfield already runs pretty well on both Xbox and PC, but as with any Bethesda game, expect ongoing updates and patches after release to improve performance. They've got a solid track record of making things run smoothly over time!
They're always rolling out updates, so optimization is a process, not a single event. Keep an ear out for patch notes!
