Bots in Fortnite usually appear in lower-skill matches to help new players get accustomed to the gameplay. You'll find them most often in early matches if you're a new player or if you haven't played in a while.
In my experience, bots show up the most in early levels and low-tier matches. The better you get, the fewer you'll see!
