The short answer is you can't play official Grand Theft Auto (GTA) games online for free legally. Every main GTA game requires a purchase to play legally, including its online components. However, there are fan-made servers and modifications for some GTA games that offer a pseudo-online experience, but tread carefully as these can be in a legal gray area.

Nope. Gotta open that wallet if you wanna join the legit GTA online world. Rockstar doesn't hand out the GTA experience for free!

Actually, there's a workaround. Some cloud gaming services offer GTA as part of their library, and while you have to pay for the service, it technically lets you play GTA without buying the game directly. But remember, you're still paying for the service.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
