The tiger you're thinking of is probably Hunter the Cheetah. He’s mostly in the sequel, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, not the original Spyro game.

Technically, there’s no tiger in the first Spyro game. You might be confusing it with Hunter who’s a cheetah in Spyro 2!
