Where do I get iron nuggets in Animal Crossing?
Something I found useful: if you're desperate for iron nuggets, use a Nook Miles Ticket to visit other islands. Each island has rocks you can hit for materials, and I've sometimes found these islands to give out more iron nuggets than the ones at home. It’s like a fun little mining adventure with bonus scenery!

Honestly, just keep hitting rocks but be patient. It took me forever to get enough iron nuggets because I kept messing up and breaking the rocks by eating fruit beforehand. Learned that lesson the hard way!
Oh, the elusive iron nuggets! You're gonna wanna hit rocks. And not just any rocks, but the ones on your island or any other island you visit. The trick is, don't eat any fruit before you whack them! You can hit each rock up to 8 times if you're quick enough, and that’s how you'll get the most nuggets out of each rock. Also, make sure to have an empty space around the rock so the nuggets have room to pop out!
Just hit rocks, mate. No fancy tricks. No need to overthink it.
