You're looking for anything left of that zig-zag line starting at boron (B) and going down through to polonium (Po).

Metals are mostly found on the left side and in the middle of the Periodic Table. Group 1 and 2 are metals (like sodium and calcium), and then all the transition metals from groups 3 to 12!
