Where Does Steam Save Games?
EarningOunce路7 months agoSteam saves games in your computer's 'Steam' folder, typically found under 'Program Files' on Windows. Inside, you'll see a 'steamapps' folder where all your game files hang out. Specifically, look in 'steamapps/common' for most of your games, though some individual game saves may be in your 'userdata' folder within the Steam directory if they use Steam Cloud for saves.

If you're looking to find your game saves, Steam usually tucks them away in the 'steamapps' folder. However, it's also worth checking out each game's properties in Steam, as some devs choose to store saves in a My Documents subfolder or elsewhere outside the main Steam folder.
Not all games save their files in the Steam folder. Some games prefer to save their progress directly in the Documents or My Games folder. Always worth a check if you can't find your saves in the usual spot!
