The Institute is pretty much the worst-kept secret in the Commonwealth. But if you're looking for specifics, it's hidden right underneath the ruins of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Getting in isn't as straightforward as knocking on the door, though—you'll have to follow the main questline for a bit to find a way inside.

The Institute? Oh, you mean that elusive high-tech utopia slash dystopia? It's under the old MIT campus. But remember, it's not like going to grandma's house. You've gotta earn your visit through quests and a bit of detective work. Good luck, and watch out for synths.

It's in your heart, just believe. Okay, not really, it's under MIT. But wouldn't it be nicer if it was that easy?

Honestly, just follow the main quest and you can't miss it. People overcomplicate it. It's under MIT, end of story.

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
