Where is the island of Cayo Perico in GTA 5?

Cayo Perico isn't actually in the main GTA 5 map. It's a completely separate island that was added for the Cayo Perico Heist update. You can't just stumble upon it while cruising around Los Santos. To get there, you gotta start the Cayo Perico Heist from your Submarine HQ, dude.

Cayo Perico? That's not part of the base GTA V map. It's a special area for the heist update. You access it through the heist prep missions, so no, you can't just fly there whenever you want for a quick vacay.
