Build near the Safe Shallows. It's beginner-friendly, resource-rich, and close to key biomes. Plus, who doesn't love a nice underwater view?

Try the Grassy Plateaus. Tons of resources, easy to defend, and neighbors with other cool biomes like the Kelp Forest and Jellyshroom Cave!

Hot take: Avoid deep biomes like the Grand Reef until you're well-prepared. Too risky for an early base.

I always go for the Floating Island. It's got lots of resources, great views, and easy access to Lifepod 5.

With first-hand experience, I suggest the Cove Tree area in the Lost River. It's absolutely gorgeous and has thermal vents for power. Just be prepared for some Leviathan traffic!
