You won't be able to "buy" the 1911 pistol in Starfield as there is no traditional in-game currency, but you can find or collect resources to upgrade your weapons, gear, and ships.
I spent hours scavenging planets and space stations in Starfield and found some great gear, but a 1911 wasn't one of them. Focus on the futuristic arsenal, my friend!
