Gears in Fallout 4 are pretty essential for crafting and building. You can find them in items like desk fans, cameras, typewriters, and even some watches. The trick is to scrap these items at a workbench, which will give you gears for your projects. Also, keep an eye out for lootable objects in the ruins; offices and industrial areas are gold mines!

Just loot everything! Seriously, half the junk you trip over has gears in it. Desk fans are practically everywhere and they're a goldmine. Also, hit up any old office or factory you find; the amount of gears lying around is nuts.

Pro tip: Don鈥檛 just look for gears. Look for the items that contain them and scrap those. Saves time and inventory space.

Vendor's sell them too if you're lazy. Costs caps but saves time. Just sayin'.
