IMHO, finding a troll bogey is a bit overrated. But, if you must, just knock down a troll and grab it. Though tbh, exploring Hogwarts and its surroundings is way more interesting.
Finding a Troll Bogey in Hogwarts Legacy is all about getting up close and personal with a Troll first. You'll need to defeat a Troll in combat, and after doing so, you can loot the bogey from them. Trolls can typically be found in areas outside the Hogwarts castle, like in the Forbidden Forest or around mountainous regions. Good luck, and try not to get squished!
