Where to Find Dogmeat in Fallout 4 After You Dismiss Him
After you've had your adventures with Dogmeat and decide it's time for him to take a break, you'll usually find him hanging out at one of your settlements, specifically the Red Rocket Truck Stop near Sanctuary Hills. It's his default go-to spot once dismissed. If he's not there, check your other settlements. Remember, the Wasteland is a big place, and sometimes he takes his sweet time strolling back.

Dogmeat has a knack for making us worry more than necessary. If you've checked Red Rocket and your settlements but still can't find him, take a deep breath. Sometimes, he's just blending in with the environment. Build a dog house in a visible area of your settlement; more often than not, he'll eventually show up there to take a nap.
Honestly, just wait. Dogmeat likes to take the scenic route back to Red Rocket or wherever you're looking. He'll show up eventually, probably when you least expect it, like when you're in the middle of building something or fending off a raider attack. Classic Dogmeat timing!
