Trust me, the Hot Knife is a game-changer. Scan the modification station fragments around the Grassy Plateaus and other wreck sites, then use it to upgrade your regular knife. No more pesky fish bites!

You gotta find the Modification Station fragments in Wrecks, mainly in the Grassy Plateaus or Sparse Reef. Once you have the Modification Station blueprint, you can craft the Hot Knife there.

Hot Knife isn't worth it. Normal knife does the job.

You can get the Hot Knife fragment by scanning a modification station, and then you craft it using the modification station in your base. Just need a regular survival knife and a battery. Easy peasy!

It's not actually a fragment you find directly, but you need the Modification Station to craft it. Look for the station fragments in wrecks, especially in the Grassy Plateaus.
