Mimics in Terraria are sneaky and can be found in the Underground and Cavern layers. They disguise themselves as chests, waiting for an unsuspecting player to try and open them. Keep your eyes peeled for chests that seem out of place, or for the ones that are shaking slightly - those are your Mimics! Also, using a Hunter Potion can make them easier to spot since it highlights enemies.

Just hit every chest you see. If it hits back, congrats, it's a Mimic! Simple as that.

Quick tip: if you're farming for Mimics, create an artificial Underground biome using Stone Blocks and wait for them to spawn. It's a bit of a grind, but it pays off with the unique loot they drop!

Honestly, Mimics aren't worth the hassle. Just focus on exploring and gearing up. You'll run into them eventually when you're ready.
