Deep Purple Vents and Tree Spires are good spots. Just keep an eye out near the thermal vents. They like to hide there!

You can find nickel in the Deep Purple Vents, the Tree Spires, and the Crystal Caves. Look for Nickel Ore near the thermal vents in those areas.

From my experience, the Crystal Caves are your best bet. It's a bit creepy down there, but the Nickel Ore is worth it!
