Palladium in Terraria is one of those shiny things you'll wanna get your hands on ASAP if you're into hardmode. After defeating the Wall of Flesh and stepping into hardmode, you'll see your world blessed with new ores, including Palladium. Smash those Demon/Crimson Altars with the Pwnhammer you grabbed from the Wall of Flesh, and voila, Palladium starts spawning in your world. You're most likely to find it around the Cavern layers, just keep an eye on those orangey-pink veins!

Honestly, just keep mining and exploring. Palladium isn't as rare as you might think, especially if you've smashed a decent number of altars. Got heaps of it just by randomly mining for other stuff.

Short answer: Smash Altars, dig in Caverns. You'll stumble upon Palladium ores sooner than you think.
