PC saves being elusive? Try checking directly in the AppData folder: C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Local\StateOfDecay.

For Xbox players, your saves are stored in the cloud automatically. You don't need to worry about manual backup!

From personal experience, I found my saves under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\State of Decay\userdata. Give it a shot!
