Head to the Spirit Board and keep an eye out for the Akuma Spirit battle to unlock him. It pops up randomly, so be patient.

Akuma Spirit can be found in the Shop sometimes. Just keep checking the Vault Shop in the game and you'll find it sooner or later. Happy hunting!

You just gotta play through the World of Light mode to find Akuma. He's in one of the Dark Realm areas.

Just grind the Spirit Board; Akuma will eventually show up. No shortcuts, just patience!
