Focus on crafting skills early on. They pay off as you progress and need to upgrade your gear and ships. Trust me, you'll thank me later!
You can't go wrong investing in the Combat tree if you love blowing stuff up. It'll make you a force to be reckoned with. Pew pew!
Combat and Tech are the way to go. Survival is cool and all, but blasting enemies and hacking systems is where the real fun is.
