Where to Store Things in Fallout 4
Honestly, I just pick a house in one of the settlements, like Sanctuary Hills, and make it my main base. I dump all my stuff in various containers there. Never had a problem with losing items, plus it feels like home.

The best spots for storage in Fallout 4 are the workbenches and settlement containers. You can store your stuff in any workbench found in settlements you've unlocked, and it鈥檚 super handy because items stashed in any workbench can be used for crafting at any other workbench within the same settlement. Also, don鈥檛 forget about using containers like toolboxes, cabinets, and safes you'll find all over the map. Just be cautious, items stored in random containers across the wasteland could disappear over time, so sticking to your settlements is safer.
Sanctuary Hills, your personal junkyard. Fill those bathtubs with guns and teddy bears if you want. No one's judging.
Just a heads up, don't store your goodies in random containers out in the wasteland. Lost a full set of Power Armor that way. Stick to the settlements!
Just dump your loot in the closest workbench, mate. It's like the universal sock drawer of the apocalypse.
