Believe it or not, some common Pokemon cards can surprisingly fetch a few bucks, especially if they're from older sets or have unique misprints. For example, the Base Set Pikachu (with yellow cheeks) is quite sought after. Another common card that's worth something is the 'Shadowless' cards from the very first print run. They lack the shadow on the right side of the image box that later prints have. Always check the condition though; a mint condition card always fetches more!

Honestly, most common cards aren't worth much unless they're old or have some kind of rarity factor to them. Your best bet is to look for older cards, special editions, or misprints.
