Brotherhood, 100%. It follows the manga's storyline from start to finish, while the 2003 version goes off on its own path halfway through.

I鈥檝e watched both, and Brotherhood is definitely more faithful to Hiromu Arakawa's original story.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood sticks to the manga like glue, so if you want a faithful adaptation, that's your go-to!

Brotherhood is your best bet. The 2003 version is great but takes its own route after a while.

If you're a Fullmetal Alchemist fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
