Flame is definitely better for grinding and farming NPCs. The damage and AoE attacks make it super efficient!
I鈥檝e used both. Barrier is great for defense and utility, but Flame helps you level up faster!
Flame is a more versatile and powerful option overall. Barrier is niche and only situationally useful.
Honestly, just go with Flame if you want higher damage output.
