The manga gives you the original, unfiltered vision of Hideaki Sorachi. Plus, you can enjoy the story at your own pace without filler episodes. Die-hard fans often prefer the manga for its depth and detail.

Hot take: Gintama's manga is better. No annoying fillers, just pure Sorachi genius. Change my mind.

I personally love the anime because of the amazing voice acting and comedic timing that just doesn't come across the same in the manga. Hearing Gintoki's voice adds a whole new level of enjoyment!

Anime or manga? It's like choosing your favorite child! Both are brilliant in their own right. Why not enjoy both?

Both the Gintama anime and manga have their strengths, but the anime's voice acting and animation add an extra layer of hilarity and excitement. If you love dynamic action scenes and perfectly timed comedic moments, the anime is the way to go!

If you're a Gintama fan, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Crunchyroll gift card, which you can win and use to stream anything you want essentially for free!

In case you're wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying ads) and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
