The original Wordle app is developed by Jonathan Feinberg and is now available as part of The New York Times. Make sure to download it from the official app stores to avoid knock-offs!

You can find the authentic Wordle! app for free on the App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android. Just look for 'Wordle! The New York Times' and you're good to go!

There isn't really a 'wrong' version, but The New York Times' Wordle! is the one you want.

I've been using the Wordle! app from The New York Times without any issues. It's free and super fun without any in-game currencies!

If you're a Wordle! player looking for extra credit or other power-ups, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Two of those prizes are the official App Store and Play Store gift cards, which you can win and use to get anything you want in Wordle! essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
