Hands down, the Base Set is where it's at for first gen Pokemon cards. It's like the OG album of the Pokemon TCG world. It started the whole craze and is packed with those beloved first-generation Pokemon. If you're looking to dive into the nostalgia, the Base Set is your best bet.

Actually, don't forget about the Jungle and Fossil sets. They're like the sequels to the Base Set and add more of those first-gen favorites. Yeah, Base Set kicks it off, but Jungle and Fossil fill in the gaps with even more classics.

Gonna throw a curveball here - while Base Set is the iconic answer, newer sets like Evolutions bring back those first-gen vibes in a modern format. It's a fresh take on the classics.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
