Honestly, it's all about the hype. Yeah, first editions and holographics from the '90s are big, but don't sleep on new releases. Some of the modern secret rares and full art cards fetch a pretty penny, especially from popular sets. Keep your eyes peeled and sleeves ready.

The value of Pokemon cards can wildly vary, but generally, the older first edition cards, especially in mint condition, are hugely valuable. Cards like the First Edition Shadowless Holographic Charizard are often at the top of the list. Rarity, condition, and the card's edition (1st edition, shadowless, etc.) play huge roles in its value. For recent cards, look for Full Art, Secret Rare, and Rainbow Rare cards - these have limited prints and are highly sought after!

Not all shiny things are gold. Just because a card looks cool doesn't mean it's valuable. Do your research!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
