Honestly, most of the time, it's the cards you least expect. Like, who thought a shiny piece of cardboard with a dragon on it could pay off your student loans?

First Edition Base Set cards are where it's at. If it's Shadowless, even better. Basically, anything that looks old and has that 'I'm so rare I might as well be a myth' vibe.

The Holy Grail of Pokemon cards is the Pikachu Illustrator, super rare and super pricey. Then there's the First Edition Shadowless Charizard, which can fetch a pretty penny, especially in perfect condition. Don't forget about the Black Lotus... wait, wrong game, but you get the idea!

Charizard, no contest. Everyone's obsessed. It's like the Beanie Babies craze but with fire-breathing dragons.

Pikachu Illustrator, hands down. It's rare, it's iconic, and it's basically the Mona Lisa of Pokemon cards.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
