Historically, first edition cards, especially those in mint condition, have seen a significant increase in value over time. Cards from the initial sets like the Base Set, particularly the holographic Charizard, are always a safe bet. Limited editions or cards with printing errors also tend to become highly sought after by collectors. Remember, rarity and condition play huge roles in a card's future value!

Honestly, it's all about the rarity and the hype. Limited edition promos or cards that become iconic among the community can skyrocket in price. Just look at the Pikachu Illustrator card - it was a promo but it's worth a fortune now.

It's really tough to predict. What's valuable now might not be in the future. Just collect what you love!

Chase those shiny cards! Full art and secret rare cards from newer sets are worth keeping an eye on. They might not be as iconic as a first edition Base Set Charizard now, but give it time. Trends in collecting change, but rarity and aesthetic appeal are always in!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
