GTA 5, like many large-scale video games, isn't tied down to just one programming language. Primarily, it uses C++ for its game engine, which is pretty standard for the industry. But given the complexity of the game, it likely also utilizes other languages for different aspects, such as scripting and mission design. Rockstar Games hasn't officially detailed all the languages, but C++ is the main player here.

C++ all the way for GTA 5. That鈥檚 the industry standard for big games like GTA. Other languages might play a part, but C++ is the backbone.

Everyone saying it's just C++ might not be looking at the whole picture. Sure, C++ is major, but you can't ignore scripting languages like Lua or Python that probably play their parts behind the scenes in a behemoth like GTA 5.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
