Not just the main characters! You can also play as demons like Rui and Akaza if you unlock them. Adds a cool twist to the gameplay!
I played the game and can confirm you can also play as Kyojuro Rengoku and Sakonji Urokodaki. Love how they captured Rengoku's fiery spirit!
