Who are the Gunners in Fallout 4?
The Gunners in Fallout 4 are a hostile mercenary group that’s pretty much armed to the teeth. Think of them as the Commonwealth’s very own post-apocalyptic private army. They love their combat armor, and they're not picky about whom they work for or fight against. These guys are tough, and they’ve got outposts all over the place. So, if you see someone in fancy combat gear aiming at you with a laser rifle, chances are, you’ve run into a Gunner.

The Gunners are basically the Commonwealth's boogeymen. Decked out in combat armor and never shy to show off their firepower. They're essentially what you get if you crossed a military outfit with a gang. Strict, organized, and deadly. Don't expect them to play nice.
Gunners? They're just raiders with a dress code and a slightly better 401K. Seriously though, they're mercenaries but not the kind you can hire. More like the kind that shoots first and doesn't bother with questions. They control some prime real estate in the Commonwealth and are always looking for a fight.
