Dmitri Mendeleev came up with the first periodic table in 1869. He even left gaps for elements yet to be discovered, like some sort of chemical psychic!

Mendeleev gets the credit for the first periodic table in 1869, but other scientists like Lothar Meyer were hot on his heels.

It was Mendeleev. He organized elements by atomic mass, and his table had predictions that turned out true.

Mendeleev invented it, but don't forget the unsung heroes who contributed to its development!
