Who Can Message Me on Facebook?
Anyone who's your friend or mutual friend on Facebook can message you, unless you've changed your privacy settings. Hop into Settings > Privacy to tweak who can send you messages!

Strangers can't slide into your DMs unless you allow it in your settings. So, if you're getting messages from randos, it's time to adjust those settings.
I had random people messaging me all the time, but once I changed my settings to 'Friends Only,' peace and quiet! So, tweak those privacy settings!
Basically, default setting lets friends of friends message you. But you can change that to 'Friends only' or even 'Nobody' if you want.
