GTA San Andreas Online, or as we in the know like to call it, SA-MP (San Andreas Multiplayer), was actually created by a group of modders, not Rockstar Games. These genius minds took what was originally a single-player experience and turned it into a multiplayer playground. So, big props to the SA-MP team!

It was the work of modders! Rockstar made the game, but the fans made it multiplayer.

Actually, SA-MP was a fan creation. Rockstar didn't directly develop the multiplayer mode for San Andreas; it was passionate players who did.
