Grand Theft Auto, the game we all know and love for letting us live our virtual criminal lives, was originally developed by DMA Design, which is now known as Rockstar North. So, if you're looking to send a thank-you note for all those hours of chaotic fun, you know where to direct it!

Rockstar Games didn't invent GTA, but they sure made it the giant it is today. Initially, it was DMA Design that brought this gem to life. Imagine a world without GTA... I can't.

Hot take: everyone says Rockstar, but actually, DMA Design is the real MVP for GTA. They started it all before Rockstar North took the wheel.

Actually, it's a common misconception that Rockstar was the original creator. The true brains behind GTA were DMA Design. Props to them for kicking off my favorite game series!

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
