The first Pokemon card was invented by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori, with the game itself being developed by Media Factory under the supervision of Nintendo. The duo behind the creation of the Pokemon universe worked closely to bring these beloved creatures into the trading card game format.

Actually, it's a bit more complex. Satoshi Tajiri created the Pokemon franchise, but the Pokemon Trading Card Game was developed with contributions from many individuals at Creatures Inc. and Media Factory. So it's not just one person's brainchild!

It was Satoshi Tajiri! He's the genius behind Pokemon. Without him, we wouldn't have the cards or the games we love today.

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
