You might be thinking of Captain Ginyu from the Ginyu Force. He’s the guy who loves to shout “Change Now!” and swap bodies with his enemies.

That purple guy in Dragon Ball Z is probably either Captain Ginyu or Beerus. Captain Ginyu is the leader of the Ginyu Force and can switch bodies with people. Beerus, on the other hand, is the God of Destruction and loves his naps!

That's Beerus, the God of Destruction! He’s that lazy cat-like deity who loves food and naps but can destroy planets with a sneeze!

Too many purple guys! Either Captain Ginyu or Beerus. Ginyu is part of the Ginyu Force; Beerus is a super strong god.
