Tetris was originally created by Alexey Pajitnov, a Russian game designer, in 1984. But over the years, the rights have changed hands a few times.

The Tetris Company currently owns the rights to Tetris. They manage and license Tetris games worldwide.

Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris, but the rights are now with The Tetris Company. They've kept it rolling all these years!
