To beat Giovanni, start with a strong Lucario to counter his Persian with Fighting-type moves. Bring a Machamp or a Melmetal to handle his second Pokémon, and finish strong with a powerful Ice-type like Mamoswine to take down Shadow Lugia.

Persian is a pain, but Machamp or Conkeldurr can make quick work of it. For his second Pokémon, check what he has and match types accordingly. And for Lugia, Zekrom or Raikou should zap it down.

I used my trusty Machamp, followed by a Kyogre, and finished with a Tyranitar to defeat Giovanni. Worked like a charm!
