1995? Bit of a trick question there! Pokémon cards actually hit the market in 1996. So if you're looking for the OG, base set cards with that 1995 copyright date, you're looking at the very roots of Pokémon TCG history. Happy hunting!

Actually, no Pokémon cards were officially released in 1995. Pokémon TCG started in 1996. Just a year off, but makes all the difference!

Oh, the 1995 Pokémon cards you're asking about? You've hit the nostalgia jackpot! That's the era when Pokémon TCG first began. The sets from back then include the base set, Jungle, and Fossil. These are where you'll find classics like the original Charizard, Blastoise, and Pikachu. Remember, these cards aren't just nostalgic, they're often highly sought after by collectors for their rarity and value. So if you've got 'em, treasure 'em!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
