Make sure you're in the right game mode. Some modes like Creative or custom games don't reward XP the same way as Battle Royale.

Restart your game. Sometimes it's just a glitch, and a good old restart can fix it. Epic Games is usually quick to patch these issues.

Bruh, just make sure you're not in custom or creative lobbies where XP is turned off. Simple as that.
