It's all about timing and knowing your character. Try sticking to one character and mastering their moves before switching around.
Maybe you just need to switch to a different character. Some are easier to handle for beginners!
Practice makes perfect! Spend some time in the training mode to get a feel for your character’s moves and combos.
Honestly, some people just aren't cut out for fighting games. Maybe try another genre?
